Biography

13 June 1969, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Walters is an established star of American youth television through his role in Beverly Hills 90210, in which he plays the guitar-toting Ray Fruit. He had been given his musical break in The Heights, a series in which he also starred. The show created a fictional band, Heights, which brought about a number 1 single, "How Do You Talk To An Angel", in November 1992. Walters had learned to sing and play guitar long before taking acting classes, and was already signed to Atlantic Records before getting the part of Fruit. "Hold On", a single and the best track on his debut, was aired on an episode of Beverly Hills 90210 in November 1994, but his record company experienced some difficulty in broadening his appeal to both youth and adult audiences despite the presence of producer Steve Tyrell and a Graham Parker cover version, "Release Me", on the debut.
