Biography
Impending Doom is a technical death metal band from Southern California whose paradoxal quirk is that their lyrical themes lean toward Christianity. Thus they have dubbed their sound “gorship," or worship of God through the medium of brutal grindcore metal. Impending Doom’s approach quickly garnered them a massive fan following, and their 2007 debut, NAILED DEAD RISEN, quickly appeared on the Billboard Heatseekers chart upon release. Since then, the band has honed its skills, incorporating thick grooves and doom-inspired riffs, akin to secular acts like Job for a Cowboy and White Chapel.
