Biography

London, England. While a member of Audience in 1972, this singing guitarist composed incidental music for the movie Bronco Bullfrog. This was recorded by the band just before its dissolution in 1972. Werth was then short-listed as a replacement for Jim Morrison in a possible re-formation of the Doors. Still bound to Charisma Records via the Audience contract, he spent the next two years recording King Brilliant which was produced by Gus Dudgeon - who had also worked with Audience - with accompaniment by ‘The Moonbeams’ (in real life, members of Hookfoot). After this failed to supersede the cult acclaim he had earned with his old band, Werth maintained a vinyl silence until 6ix Of 1ne And... 1/2 A Dozen Of The Other was released in 1979.
