Biography
Consisting of core members Zach Hill (drums) and Spencer Seim (guitar), the California-based noise-rock act Hella specializes in a whiplash-inducing fusion of prog-rock and hardcore. HOLD YOUR HORSE IS (2002) put the ensemble on the indie map, and the restless group followed with a slew of releases, many of them willfully eccentric, oddly named EPs such as BITCHES AINT SHIT BUT GOOD PEOPLE and CONCENTRATION FACE/HOMEBOY. Primarily working as an instrumental duo, Hella eventually expanded its line-up, recording 07s THERES NO 666 IN OUTER SPACE with vocalist Aaron Ross and other musicians, including Hills cousin Josh on additional guitar.
