US heavy metal supergroup formed in 2006 by members of Damageplan, Mudvayne, Nothingface and Pantera. The idea had originally been hatched three years previously by Chad Gray of Mudvayne and Tom Maxwell of Nothingface, and with bandmates Greg Tribbett (guitar, Mudvayne) and Jerry Montano (bass, Nothingface) also interested they began scouting around for suitable drummers. The recruitment of ex-Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott enabled the group to become a reality in 2006. The sextet quickly completed the recording of new material and released debut 'You Wouldn't Know' at the start of 2007. Their self-titled debut album followed in April and was successful enough to reach the US mainstream Top 10. A competent if hardly groundbreaking piece of generic heavy metal, the album also received a warm response from rock critics.
