Biography
A Paris, France-based trio comprising Philippe Cohen Solal (1962, France; DJ/producer), Christoph H. Müller (b. 1968, Switzerland; producer) and Eduardo Makaroff (b. 1955, Argentina; guitar/vocals). They formed in 1999, united by their interest in combining contemporary electronic sounds with more traditional and acoustic ones. Their tracks have featured on compilations such as Gilles Petersons Worldwide and the Buddha Bar series, based on the music played in the famous Parisian club. They are signed to XL Recordings, the respected dance music imprint of Beggars Banquet Records. Solal and Mueller had worked independently as soundtrack musicians with directors such as Lars Von Trier, Didier Le Pecheur and Yolande Zauberman, and released records as the Boys From Brazil and Stereo Action Unlimited.
