Biography
Austin, Texas, USA. A singer-songwriter and guitarist who lived and worked around Austin. Nunn and some other musicians started working with the 70s progressive musician Jerry Jeff Walker, and they eventually coalesced in the progressive country group, the Lost Gonzo Band. The high spot of Viva Terlingua! in 1973 was when Walker generously allowed Nunn to take the lead vocals on his song about life on the road, London Homesick Blues. It was also recorded by David Allan Coe and became the theme song for the long-running television series Austin City Limits. The Lost Gonzo Band worked on four more albums with Jerry Jeff Walker and also recorded under their own name. Nunn himself was married to singer-songwriter Karen Brooks, and their songs Couldnt Do Nothin Right (Karen) and Kara Lee (Gary) comment on their relationship. Willie Nelson recorded his song The Last Thing I Needed The First Thing This Morning....
