A cosmopolitan 90s pop/dance group from Hamburg, Germany, Fun Factory comprise singer Marie-Annett (France), backing singer Smooth T. (b. Italy), dancer Steve (b. Germany) and rapper Rod D. (b. USA). Since their inception in the early 90s, and with the substantive help of producer Bulow Aris, they have successfully achieved a string of pop hits including ‘Groove Me’, ‘Take Your Chance’, ‘Close To You’ and ‘Pain’. Though these have failed to cross over to either the USA or UK, such singles have enjoyed enormous success in mainland European countries including France, Holland and Sweden, as well as Germany. Promoting their debut album, Non Stop!, Rod D. described their appeal thus: ‘The main thing is that it grooves, kicks and beeps, and that people have a good time.’
