Biography
The number of shoegazing bands has steadily declined since its early 90s heyday, but by the new millennium there were still a few groups out there flying the stylistic flag, such as Ester Drang. While most bands of the aforementioned genre originated from England, Ester Drang is an exception, originally forming in 1995 in Oklahoma, USA, and listing Philip Glass, My Bloody Valentine, and Spiritualized as their prime influences. Despite several line-up changes over the years, Bryce Chambers (guitars/vocals) has remained at the bands helm throughout, with his musical and lyrical vision earning comparisons to the work of fellow Oklahoma songwriter Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips.
