Biography
Rome, Italy. One of Italys biggest pop stars, Eros Ramazzotti has expanded his popularity around the world, particularly in Latin-speaking nations. The singer got his first break in 1981 when he qualified for the finals of the Voci Nuove Di Castrocaro. A recording contract with the DDD label ensued and his first single, Ad Un Amico, was released in 1982. His debut album Cuori Agitati, released three years later, included the European hit single Una Storia Importante (like all his albums the collection was also adapted into Spanish to maximise commercial impact). Ramazzottis third album In Certi Momenti included a duet with UK actress/singer Patsy Kensit, La Luce Buona Delle Stelle. Ramazzottis simple, elegantly constructed romantic ballads and uptempo pop workouts made an international splash in 1993 with the release of Tutte Storie, whose easy melodicism brought multi-platinum sales.
