21 February 1970, Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. This country singer-songwriter and guitarist enjoyed brief mainstream success at the start of the new millennium, before record company politics forced his career back to independent status. Heatherly began playing music at an early age and took to the stage while still at high school. He continued playing with bands after embarking on a music scholarship placement at Chattanooga State, but after completing a year of his course relocated to Nashville to pursue his dream. Heatherly struggled through the early part of the 90s working a series of mundane day jobs and playing with his band to meagre crowds at night, but started to build up a loyal live following with his energetic mixture of country and rockabilly.
