Biography
Dealing in exactly the type of eerie monolithic doom that you would expect from a band emanating from darkest Dorset, England, Justin Oborn (vocals/guitar), Tim Bagshaw (bass) and Mark Greening (drums) first got together in 1993 after Oborn left his previous band Eternal. Drawn together by a mutual love of Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus and marijuana, the band would get stoned and crank out ponderous riffs until they had recognisable songs, the first examples being released as Demon Lung a split single with Our Haunted Kingdom (an early incarnation of Orange Goblin). An expectedly heavy affair, the self-titled debut emerged soon after and included some ragged Blue Cheer moments among the ultra slow, dirge-like riffing.
