Biography
US garage rock band formed by Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme aka Carlo Von Sexron aka Baby Duck (Joshua Michael Homme, 17 May 1973, Palm Springs, California, USA; drums, bass, keyboards) and Jesse Hughes aka J. Devil Huge aka Boots Electric (b. 24 September 1972, South Carolina, USA; vocals, guitar, percussion). The duo originally came together to play on Hommes The Desert Sessions, Vol. III/IV, one of several ad hoc sessions released by the musician in the late 90s following the disbanding of his former band, Kyuss. Although other musicians appeared on the three tracks by the Eagles Of Death Metal, the main nucleus of the band was Homme and Hughes. Owing to Hommes commitments with the increasingly successful Queens Of The Stone Age, the band did not reconvene until almost five years later, completing Peace Love Death Metal for Greg Werckmans AntAcidAudio label.
