7 May 1969, Stockholm, Sweden. Cherry is the son of legendary jazz trumpeter Don Cherry and the brother of Neneh Cherry. Born in Sweden, Eagle-Eye was so named because when he was born he looked at his father with one eye. Cherry moved to New York in 1984, and graduated to playing drums in several teenage bands. His early career, however, was directed towards acting. He attended the New York School of Performing Arts with future Friends star Jennifer Aniston, and appeared in off-Broadway theatre productions and several television pilots. A slot presenting the critically derided UK television show Big World Café followed a small part in The Cosby Show. Cherry relocated to Sweden with his actress girlfriend in 1996 following his father’s death, and began concentrating on writing songs.
