Biography
6 June 1951, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. A crafted performer, renowned for high quality pop, Dwight Twilley scored an impressive US Top 20 hit with his debut release, Im On Fire. This 1975 single combined elements of rock n roll, the Beatles and Lou Christie, yet its compulsive charm remained contemporary. An attendant album by the Dwight Twilley Band, recorded with long-time associate Phil Seymour (b. 15 May 1952, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, d. 17 August 1993, Los Angeles, California, USA), took a year to complete. This delay, incurred when initial recordings proved unsatisfactory, undermined the duos momentum and, despite critical acclaim, the collection failed to emulate its opening track.
