Biography
Batesville, Indiana, USA. Formerly the leader of popular retro outfit Flat Duo Jets, Romweber has carried on where his former band left off after their untimely demise at the end of the 90s. He had already released a solo album at the height of his previous bands popularity in the mid-90s, although Folk Songs was a somewhat muted roots rock affair that was overshadowed by the crazed fusion of blues, surf and rockabilly achieved by the Flat Duo Jets on albums such as 1993s White Trees. Romweber was more effective on 2001s Chased By Martians, his first solo recording away from the Flat Duo Jets. Recorded with the help of regular associate Crash Laresh (b. Sam Sandler; drums), the album included a number of rocking originals alongside covers of songs by the Who, the Surfaris and Charlie Rich, among others.
