Biography

This Atlanta, Georgia, USA-based rap group was formed at the start of the new millennium by Gerald ‘Buddie’ Tiller, Bernard ‘Jizzal Man’ Leverette, Maurice ‘Parlae’ Gleaton and Jamall ‘Pimpin’’ Willingham. Their slick southern rap made waves on the local underground scene and, with their mixtapes proving highly popular, the inevitable major label recording contract followed, with Universal Records signing the quartet at the start of 2004. Their self-titled debut album generated a minor national hit the same year with the catchy but inane novelty track ‘White Tee’, which prompted a glut of answer records to spring up on the Atlanta rap scene. Despite this raised profile, their record company’s lack of support for the follow-up, ‘Oh I Think Dey Like Me’, prompted Dem Franchize Boyz to seek a release from their contract.
