Biography
1 July 1939, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, USA. Guitarist and vocalist Delaney Bramlett was one of several southern musicians who migrated to Los Angeles, California, USA, during the mid-60s. Here he found fame as a member of the Shindogs, the house band on the successful television pop show Shindig. He left the group in 1967 and began a solo career with Guess I Must Be Dreamin, issued on the local Independence label. The single was co-written and produced by Leon Russell. Soon after its release, Bramlett spotted Bonnie Lynn OFarrell singing in a club. Within seven days the pair were married. As Delaney And Bonnie the couple recorded a version of Youve Lost That Lovin Feelin, before spending two years working to scant attention.
