Biography
Formed in 2001 by Kurt Marschke (vocals/guitar) and Philip Skarich (bass/vocals), this US roots rock band was originally based in the duos home-town of Detroit, Michigan. They were joined by a revolving cast list of studio and touring musicians in the first two years of the bands existence, including Pete Ballard (pedal steel/dobro), Phil Dürr (guitar), Eric Hoegemeyer (tambourine), Ross Westerbur (keyboards), Aric Karpinski (keyboards), and William King (drums). Their self-titled debut album was heavily reminiscent of Exile On Main Street -era Rolling Stones, with its swaggering mixture of country, folk and rock n roll and prominent backing vocals from Masha Marjieh.
