Kansas City, Kansas, USA. Gospel singer David Ford began his musical apprenticeship at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree. Further study took him to the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Once these endeavours were completed, he embarked on a peripatetic musical career which saw him perform alongside the Cleveland, Dallas and Nashville Symphony Orchestras, as well as many impromptu groups working at Southern Baptist Conventions. He made his solo recording debut in the mid-70s with two albums for Triangle Records, though neither were particularly successful.
