7 March 1961, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. Italian-American Tenaglia, together with keyboard player Peter Dauo, played host to an impressive slew of house cuts emanating from New York in the 90s. He first turned to dance music when hearing a mix tape for the first time, subsequently selling them for the artist concerned. He was a keen enthusiast in the early disco boom, and played his first gig at a local club in Bayside, Queens, New York, when he was still 14. From there he picked up on musical trends as they occurred, being particularly influenced by the early innovations of David Morales and Kevin Saunderson. His productions of cuts like Glammer Girl by the Look (a Jon Waters tribute), and the techno -jazz innovations of his partner Dauo, built an enviable reputation, as his profile grew alongside that of fellow New Yorkers DJ Duke and Junior Vasquez.
