10 October 1948, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The youngest of the four singing Neville brothers, Cyril also plays drums. He worked with his siblings in the Meters and the Neville Brothers , with the latter unit enjoying a critically acclaimed if not always commercially successful career from the mid-70s into the new millennium. Among the recordings of the brothers on which Cyril can be heard to good effect is ‘Until We Meet Again’ on 1999’s Valence Street.

Like his siblings, Cyril has pursued an independent career outside of the Neville Brothers. He released a solo single (‘Gossip’) as early as 1970, and other notable releases have included ‘Tell Me What’s On Your Mind’ and ‘Son Of A Preacher’s Daughter’. He has also worked with the Endangered Species Band, the Killer Bees, and the Uptown Allstars Band. In the early 00s, Neville forged ahead with his solo career.
