Biography
1 May 1972, Houston, Texas, USA. One of the leading figures to emerge from the new Texas country music scene in the mid-to-late 90s, singer-songwriter and guitarist Morrows brand of good-time country rock has earned him a huge audience in his home state. Morrow began playing guitar while at high school but did not take his future vocation seriously until he began attending concerts while studying at Texas Tech in Lubbock. He quit school in 1993 and relocated to Austin, where the Cory Morrow Band built up a strong reputation on the bar circuit. The self-released Texas Time Travelling EP sold nearly 5, 000 copies, inspiring Morrow to record an album with his band. The follow-up album, 1998s The Man That Ive Been, was recorded with musicians from Jerry Jeff Walkers band.
