Christopher Dwayne Tomlin, 4 May 1972, Austin, Texas, USA. This CCM singer-songwriter joined a number of other praise and worship artists who breached the US mainstream in the new millennium. A native of East Texas, Tomlin grew up listening to country music and learning to play guitar by listening to Willie Nelson albums. His strong Christian faith led him to become involved with the Passion movement, touring throughout America and appearing on popular recordings such asWoW Worship and Passion: Our Love Is Loud. He also co-founded Austin Stone Community Church in his home town.
By now firmly installed as a rising star of the modern worship circuit, Tomlin made the transition to mainstream recording artist with the release of The Noise We Make in 2001.
