Biography
Keith Daniel Kozacik, 9 February 1962, East Chicago, Indiana, USA. A blues singer and guitarist, having attended school in Davenport, Iowa, Keith first started listening to blues music on the radio with his father, following fishing trips. However, it was at the age of 15, when he heard Death Letter by Son House, that he was truly bitten by the blues bug. By his late teens Keith was already on the road performing, the nickname Catfish given to him by a friend on a fishing trip in the Virgin Islands. Since his debut release, Catfish Blues, for Kicking Mule, Keith has recorded for his own Fish Tail Records label, giving him full artistic control over the end result. Over the years he has developed a highly refreshing style, utilizing acoustic and National steel slide guitar. Apart from his own compositions, he features material by blues greats such as John Lee Hooker, Mississippi John Hurt and Skip James, to name only a few.
