Dominic Licciardello, 19 January 1956, USA. Among the most committed of modern Christian gospel artists, Carman has stated on several occasions how he was saved by attending an Andrae Crouch concert in his youth. Initially discovered by Bill Gaither, he subsequently started a ministry with its own recording arm. Many of his albums feature extended narratives and biblical abstractions in addition to music. His breakthrough album came in 1988 with Live... Radically Saved, a live album featuring R&B, rock and even Christian rap. Another in-concert collection, 1991s Shakin The House, featured more conventional gospel songwriting, assisted by the Christ Church Choir. In 1993 he moved to Sparrow Records to record The Standard, which concentrated more firmly on music than his previous studio collections. The release of R.I.O.T.
