Biography
This US hard rock bands leaders, singer-songwriter and guitarist Dimitri Coats (Boston, Massachusetts, USA) and bass player Melanie Campbell (b. Texas, USA), first crossed paths in Jersey City, New Jersey, when the duo were pursuing careers in theatre and professional modern dance, respectively. Soon after, it became quite evident to Campbell that Coats true talent lay in music, especially after hearing the original songs he was writing at a brisk rate. It was not long before Campbell picked up a bass and convinced Coats to quit acting and form a band, but the process would be a long one. It took a while for the duo to find a region that embraced their high-energy rock style, and after brief stints in Portland, Oregon and Coats home town of Boston, they finally found a suitable location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
