Biography
Early pioneers of the UKs house scene, Bomb The Bass is a collective front for Tim Simenon (Brixton, London, England; of Malay Chinese and Scottish parents). After attending a course in studio engineering he shot to prominence in 1988 with Beat Dis, which reached the UK Top 5. Both Megablast and Say A Little Prayer were also UK Top 10 hits, the latter featuring Maureen Walsh, who went on to her own solo career, beginning with a cover version of Sister Sledges Thinking Of You for Urban. Simenon then worked with Neneh Cherry (producing her hits Buffalo Stance and Manchild). After completing work on his new studio he took up production duties for an album by Prince sidekick Cat.
