Jeffrey Stafford, 13 June 1967, New York City, New York, USA. Starting as a punk rocker bragging about his fondness for the Antichrist, Conn’s music has become increasingly harder to categorize. While the styles of Burt Bacharach and Ween can be detected in his later works, Conn’s on-stage look tends to be somewhat reminiscent of Lou Reed during his Berlin / Rock n Roll Animal period, where make-up is used to create the appearance of a drug-fuelled madman.

Originating from the east coast of America, Conn and his family moved to Argentina and Brazil during his early years, before settling down back in the USA in a few different suburbs in the Midwest. As a teenager, Conn gravitated towards punk rock (especially Black Flag), but felt as if he was missing the real message of what his favourite bands from big cities were singing about.
