Biography
William D. McFalls, 28 November 1946, Memphis, Texas, USA. Reputedly, McFalls father played in the tent show band that accompanied blues legend Ma Rainey. Singing and playing blues harmonica, McFalls built a solid following, his engaging persona ensuring that his live performances are hugely enjoyable crowd-pleasing affairs. His enthusiasm for the blues carries through on record, making his albums effective reflections of his stage act. Humour plays an important part in his repertoire; indeed, the title track from his 1990 release Be-Who?, a comedy duet with his wife, Miss Lee, helped put the album in the Billboard charts. McFalls also plays guitar and upright bass.
