Biography
Based in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, this US alternative rock band was formed at the start of the new millennium. Courtney Shanks (bass/vocals) met Miggy Littleton (drums) when she stopped to look at his record stall. United by a love of music the duo began playing together, and before long Courtney’s brother Ben Shanks (guitar/vocals) had relocated from his native Kansas to join the fledgling band. The trio made their recording debut at the start of 2002 with ‘Security In Neighborhood’, which was featured on the Japanese compilation US Pop Life Vol. 17. The band attracted further attention when their 7-inch single ‘Baby Likes To Holler’/‘The Walking Dead’ was released at the end of the year. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2004 by independent label The Social Registry.
