Biography
Formed in 2004, this Vancouver, Canada-based classic rock orientated outfit was the brainchild of the eccentric Stephen McBean (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; guitar/vocals) and spearheaded his notorious Black Mountain Army collective. Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd were undoubtedly their primary influences, but it was the bands DIY ethic and hippy commune vibe that set them apart from their million selling predecessors. Born out of McBeans previous project with Joshua Wells (b. 1976, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; drums), the downbeat but prolific Jerk With A Bomb, Black Mountain was the duos attempt at pursuing a more energetic path with the addition of McBeans half-sister Amber Webber (b.
