Biography
The mean streets of Brooklyn, New York, USA, saw the formation of Biohazard in 1988 by Evan Seinfeld (29 December 1972, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA; bass/vocals), Billy Graziadei (guitar/vocals), Bobby Hambel (guitar) and Danny Schuler (drums). The harsh realities of urban life provided constant lyrical inspiration for this socially and politically aware hardcore band, whose rap-infused sound influenced a whole new generation of rap metal crossover acts. Modest beginnings supporting the likes of the Cro-Mags and Carnivore at the famous LAmour club led to an independent debut, Biohazard. Constant touring built such a cult following that the band were able to sign to Roadrunner Records for one album, and then secure a major contract with Warner Brothers Records in 1992.
