Biography
This hard rocking US band was formed in Los Angeles, California by Bianca Butthole (Bianca Halstead, 5 May 1965, d. 15 December 2001, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA; vocals/bass), who along with future Betty Blowtorch guitarist Sharon Needles played in the early 90s outfit, Butt Trumpet. This group issued a lone album, 1994s Primitive Enema, for the Chrysalis Records. Butt Trumpet broke up shortly thereafter, as Bianca went on to play in an early version of the Kottonmouth Kings (then called Humble Gods). Biancas desire to play in a rough, hard rocking band eventually returned, as she rang up old pal Needles to put together a new band in the style of Butt Trumpet. Enlisting Blare N. Bitch (lead guitar) and July Molish (drums), Betty Blowtorch was formed in 1999.
