Biography
11 September 1978, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Alternating between alt pop and folksy singer-songwriter fare, Lee has been heralded in the music press as a modern day Bob Dylan. Lee got his start during the early to mid-90s with the teen alt rock outfit Noise Addict. The band only lasted for a few EPs and a lone album release, but managed to make big time fans out of renowned rock artists Sonic Youth and the Beastie Boys, who each issued the bands releases via their own record label imprints, Ecstatic Peace and Grand Royal, respectively. Perhaps realizing that he could just as easily go at it alone since he was the bands main focal point and songwriter, Lee left Noise Addict and launched a solo career, with Grand Royals backing once more.
