These Swedish sleaze rockers finally began to reap international success in the late 90s. The band, formed by four high school friends, came together in Nässjö, Sweden in 1987. Nicke Borg, Dregen (guitar), Peder Carlsson (drums) and Johan Blomquist (bass) were briefly joined by singer Tobbe, before Borg was switched from bass to handle vocals. The band recorded several demo tapes and toured extensively throughout Sweden, before releasing a self-financed 12-inch single, Something To Swallow, in 1991. They continued to tour before signing a recording contract with Megarock Records two years later. Premiered by the single Electric Suzy, their debut album, Diesel And Power garnered the band praise for their energetic update of the sleazy glam rock sound of fellow Scandinavians Hanoi Rocks.
