Biography
Comprising Niclas Frisk (vocals/guitar), Petter Dahlström (bass), Micke Lohse (electric organ) and Henrik Berglund (drums), Swedish pop band Atomic Swing were formed in 1992. They made an immediate impact. After declaring to the press that We live in the belief that we invented rock n roll, they recorded their debut single, Stone Me Into The Groove. A catchy example of the groups uninhibited, punchy rock sound, it became an immediate chart hit and generated sales in excess of 20, 000 (an enormous figure for a single released in Scandinavia). Their success continued with the good-humoured psychedelia of Smile. The groups first full-length album, A Car Crash In The Blue, followed in February 1993. This sustained their reputation for strong hooks and raucous good humour, and was promoted with further national touring.
