This heavy thrash quintet from Gothenburg, Sweden, started with a generic approach to their music and eventually became noted for their innate ability to write catchy death-metal tunes. Formed in late 1990, the band comprised Tomas Lindberg (16 October 1972; vocals), Jonas Björler (b. 26 February 1973; bass), Anders Björler (b. 26 February 1973; guitar), Adrian Erlandsson (b. 27 October 1970, Malmö, Sweden; drums) and Alf Svensson (guitar), who recorded their first release, the Gardens Of Grief EP, for the Dolores label. Having thus established their death metal credentials they embarked on a prolonged bout of touring with a variety of other heavyweight acts, such as Massacre and Immolation. After signing to Peaceville Records for their first album, The Red In The Sky Is Ours, further touring ensued with My Dying Bride, before they released With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness in August 1993.
