2 April 1972, Kent, England. This experimental, London-based techno DJ and producer is signed to Mo’ Wax Records. She contributed to experimental electronica releases by Inky Blacknuss (with Alex Knight) and Two Sandwiches Short Of A Lunchbox (with David Morley) and provided vocals on Koh Toa’s single, ‘Sundown’ before being signed to Mo’ Wax. Her first single for the label was ‘Melodius Thunk’ the title punning on the name of the jazz musician, Thelonious Monk - which was an electro workout popular with both UK and US DJs. ‘Rocking Chair’, the second single, was an emotional ballad featuring string arrangements by Will Malone, who had worked on horror movie soundtracks and Massive Attack’s classic ‘Unfinished Sympathy’. Parker began as a DJ at London techno clubs such as Lost and the renowned Megatripolis but grew up in Yalding, Kent, listening to artists such as This Mortal Coil and the Cowboy Junkies....
