Allen Vizzutti

Decades: 1980s 1990s 2000s


Missoula, Montana, USA. Raised in Montana, Vizzutti was taught to play trumpet by his father, himself a self-taught trumpet player. Later, he studied at the Eastman School of Music where he earned a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, a Performer’s Certificate, and a chair in the faculty brass quintet. Additionally, he was the first wind instrumentalist to be awarded an Eastman Artist’s diploma. Arising from this, he appeared as soloist with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the first of many classical performances. Resident in Los Angeles in the 80s, Vizzutti played on numerous motion picture soundtracks and on many television shows. He also played in bands backing recording artists such as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond.
