Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, 18 December 1968, Madrid, Spain. Balladeer and pop singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz began his long, successful recording career with WEA Latina in 1991 with Viviendo De Prisa. The album established the blueprint which Sanz would mine to highly successful effect in the 90s and into the new millennium. His fourth album, 1997’s Más, emerged as the success story of the year in Spain. Indeed, the album is widely accepted as having been responsible for an increase of 23% in collected music publishing revenues, according to industry association SGAE.
