Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. This singer-songwriter rose to prominence on the contemporary Christian music scene in the mid-00s with a series of pleasant pop rock albums. Raised on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, the young Shust was a talented musician who went on to study music theory at Toccoa Falls College. His early musical experiences were as part of worship choirs, reflecting his deeply held faith, but his love of classic rock led him to launch a solo songwriting career. Shust's debut, Anything Worth Saying, was released via the secular Brash Music label in 2005. The album's slow-burning success was accelerated by the popularity of 'My Savior My God', which rose to the top of the CCM singles charts at the start of 2006. Shust's popularity was reflected in his receipt of three trophies at the high profile Dove Awards, held in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2007, with the artist walking away with the Song Of The Year, Songwriter Of The Year and New Artist Of The Year...
