Biography
Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this US alternative rock unit was formed in 2001 by brothers Aaron Weiss (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Michael Weiss (guitar), who were searching for a new musical outlet to complement their main band the Operation. They were joined in their new project by the Operation colleague Christopher Kleinberg (guitar), and a rhythm section comprising Ray Tadeo (bass) and Richard Mazzotta (drums). They released the EP I Never Said That I Was Brave through Kickstart Audio before signing a contract with the Christian label Tooth & Nail Records, with Daniel Pishock replacing Tadeo as the bands bass player shortly afterwards. It was at this point that the Weiss brothers put the Operation on permanent hold and established mewithoutYou as their main band.
