Biography
This cult US noise-rock band plied their trade throughout the 90s with little commercial success but plenty of critical acclaim, with their extreme take on the post-hardcore tradition earning them quasi-legendary status even after their demise at the start of the new millennium. Formed in 1991 in Tumwater, Washington, the line-up originally featured Justin Trosper (vocals/guitar), Vern Rumsey (bass) and Brandt Sandeno (drums). Basing themselves in nearby Olympia, the trio released singles on US independent labels Kill Rock Stars and Gravity Records, and completed recording sessions for a debut album, before Sandeno left the line-up. His replacement Sara Lund (ex-the Belgian Waffles) made her debut on the bands first album release Fake Train, which was issued through Kill Rock Stars in 1993.
