Biography
A studio unit comprising Artie Resnick (writer of the Young Rascals Good Lovin), his wife Kris and Joey Levine. Signing to Epic Records in 1966, they recorded an album, Id Music, which included the single Run, Run, Run which commented on the futility of the urban rat race to a punky psychedelic sound. That single became a minor chart hit and was later rediscovered via the classic Nuggets compilation. The Third Rail released four more singles but failed to realize any further hits. Levine joined the Ohio Express in 1968. (NB. R Subway Train That Came To Life, a 1966 single on Cameo Records commonly associated with this Third Rail, is actually by a different band using the same name.)
