Biography
One of the most popular rock bands in Montreal, Quebec, Canada during the mid-60s, the Haunted never established a base outside of their native country. Formed as an instrumental combo called the Blue Jays in 1963, the group consisted of brothers Peter and Pierre Faubert on guitar, Bob Burgess on bass (he later became their vocalist), Glen Holmes, also on bass and Peter Symes on drums. Changing their name to the Haunted in 1966, the bands break came when they won a recording contract in a battle of the bands contest. The first of several personnel changes occurred at this time, leaving only Peter Faubert from the original line-up. Among the groups more popular singles were 1-2-5, later covered in the 80s by many revivalist bands, and Searching For My Baby.
