Biography
Charles Allen Terrell, 15 March 1961, Birmingham, Alabama, USA. Raised mainly in the small town of Albertville, Terrell played guitar and sang from childhood. Some of his singing was in church, but, determined upon a career as a professional musician, he also sang and played guitar in talent shows, gradually drawing attention. After leaving high school, Terrell attended Belmont University, Nashville, attracted by the music program. With a fellow student named Hawk (Richard Smith) he formed Innuendo, a guitar-conga pairing that eventually expanded into the band, Rococo, but with only limited success. In 1988, Terrell and Hawk, now in Los Angeles, formed another band, which led to Terrell being signed to I.R.S. Records. After one album (On The Wings Of Dirty Angels), the band dissolved and Terrell scuffled for the next few years before landing a new contract, this time with PointBlank Records.
