Biography
One of the bestselling bands on Victory Records roster in the late 90s, Strife were a vital influence on the hardcore punk scene of that era by continually remaining true to their positive message. Formed as Stand As One in the suburban sprawl of southern California in 1990 by Sid Nielsen (drums) and Andrew Kline (guitar), the line-up was completed by Rick Rodney (vocals) and Chad Peterson (bass). The quartet began rehearsing and playing in friends garages and clubs in their area, before adding another guitarist, Todd Turnham, to the line-up. Influenced by bands such as Youth Of Today and lyrically concerned with straight edge principles and personal issues, the bands fast paced, aggressive sound won them many fans.
