Biography
USA. The singer-songwriter Steve Noonan first performed at the Paradox Club in Orange County, California, USA, where Tim Buckley and Jackson Browne were among other acts featured. Browne was briefly a member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which led to Noonan along with Greg Copeland writing their first US hit, Buy For Me The Rain. Noonan then joined Buckley on Elektra Records. Steve Noonan featured several superb originals, notably Street Singer which was covered by another Elektra act, Clear Light, as well as four excellent Browne compositions. Unfortunately, the set was largely ignored upon release and he failed to reap the same acclaim as his associates.
