Biography
Brad Jordan, 9 November 1970, Houston, Texas, USA. A member of Houstons nastiest, the Geto Boys, Scarfaces official solo debut (an album of sorts had prefigured 1991s Mr. Scarface Is Back) was a familiar roll-call of sex and street violence, with the titles reading like a litany of horror movies (Body Snatchers, Born Killer, Diary Of A Madman). The follow-up repeated the formula to an ever greater degree of success, eventually going platinum (the title, like the rappers recording moniker, was inspired by the classic 1983 gangster movie Scarface). Though there was much skulduggery and blatant misogyny apparent again, there was at least light to lift the shade. The rapper was not too hardcore to include tracks such as Now I Feel Ya, which spoke openly of his relationship with his son and parents. In real life he suffered from depression, which was also documented on bloodcurdling tracks...
